Amy & Greg were married at Stirk House Hotel in Clitheroe, Lancashire. I was really excited to have been asked to photograph their wedding. I had never worked at this venue before so it was a new experience for me. Stirk house is simply a stunning venue with so many photographic opportunities. From the bright and elegant bedrooms, the well lit ceremony room to the stunning grounds of the property. A photographer can’t go wrong at this magnificent venue.
I arrived for the bridal preparations to find all the girls in one of the large hotel suites. Everyone was very excited and in high spirits. Although at first, the windows appeared small, they let in some gorgeous natural light that lent itself to some very flattering portraits. I was having so much fun photographing the early preparations that time flew by and suddenly it was time for the bride and her bridesmaids to get into their dresses. Once they were dressed and ready, I ventured downstairs to capture some of the guests as they arrived and await the arrival of the bride.

The ceremony was a beautiful, heartfelt ceremony, throughout which, Amy and Greg could not stop smiling. Once the vows had been repeated, the rings exchanged, the paperwork signed it was time for the new Mr & Mrs to be introduced to their guests. They headed back down the aisle and out into the sunshine where their guests showered them both in confetti. Following the group photographs and couple portraits, the bride opted to have a bouquet toss. This caused much amusement among everyone as one of the ladies was very determined to be the one who caught it, and she did.
Everyone then retreated to the outdoor seating area to enjoy drinks in the sunshine until they were all invited to be seated for the Wedding Breakfast. This then was my que to leave the happy couple, and their guests, to enjoy the rest of the celebrations.
