Bartle Hall Wedding Photography -Charlotte & David
This Bartle Hall Wedding began with the bridal hair and makeup at Heaven on Earth in Leyland. Charlotte was joined by her bridesmaids Hazel and Harriet. When we left the salon we headed for Charlotte’s parents house where the bridal preparations would continue. On my arrival I had the pleasure of meeting the simply stunning flower girl, Felicity. For someone so young, she was an absolute star all day and her behaviour was impeccable, I saw nothing but smiles from her all day.
Bartle Hall
When I arrived at Bartle Hall, Dave was relatively relaxed but still feeling a little nervous. We quickly took a few images before the guys took their places inside and David eagerly awaited his bride. Everyone in the room was in awe as Charlotte made her way down the aisle to the traditional tune of Here comes the Bride. The ceremony was just perfect and the reading from Harriet made it all the more personal. As well as the vows the couple had chosen, they also decided to add in a few of their own which were heart felt and emotional. Following the ceremony there was plenty of time for the formal photographs before the guests were seated for the wedding breakfast.
The speeches took place after the meal and the brides father started the proceedings with his speech which was spot on and perfectly delivered. Next the man of the day, the groom, gave his speech. As well as all the usual thank you’s, Dave had some very touching, emotional and deep words for his beautiful bride. Everyone had a tear in their eye, including me. Dave’s speech was followed by the best man’s. I can’t call it a speech as it was (in the best mans words), a lecture! The guests were treated to a digital presentation of “A study on Dave”. I can’t reveal the contents of said lecture as they warrant an over 18 rating, but needless to say it was hilarious and had the groom suitably embarrassed and entertained.
A break dance special!
Following the speeches everyone retired to the bar while the room was set up for the evenings entertainment. The evening entertainment began with Charlotte and David cutting their cake and having their first dance together as Mr & Mrs. I had been informed that following the first dance I was in for a real treat, and indeed I was. I have to confess that this is the first break dancing groom I have had the pleasure of witnessing. Dave and his friends performed a break dance spectacular for their guests which was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
I must say that I was overwhelmed with how wonderful everyone was on the day. From the Staff at Heaven on Earth, the skills of the florist, the staff at Bartle Hall, to even the friendly co-operative chauffeur. Most of all though, was how lovely and friendly all of Charlotte and Dave’s family and friends were. I was made to feel so very welcome that I felt like I’d known the family and bridal party for years.
It was such an honour and great pleasure to photograph their very special day and I wish them a very long and happy future together.
