Adele and Davids St Georges Church and Farington Lodge Wedding photography coverage, began with the bridal preparations. I joined Adele and her girls getting ready in the morning. When I arrived there was a real buzz in the air. It was fantastic that they were all in one room getting ready together. They helped each other out with jewellery and shoes, and even popping open the prosecco early on to calm some of those pesky nerves! As the preparations drew to a close the excitement began to show. Adele’s dad arrived to escort her to the church, and before we knew it the time had come to head to the ceremony!

St Georges Church, Chorley

The ceremony was due to take place at St Georges Church in the centre of Chorley. St Georges Church is a Grade II listed building and is a beautiful venue for any wedding ceremony. As the guests took their seats, the bride and her dad arrived in a Regal Imperial Landaulette supplied by Malvern Wedding Cars. While the brides dad helped her out of the car I took a few candid photos. I especially love taking these photos because I have a similar photograph, from my own wedding, and it is one of my treasured photographs. Father of the bride is such an important role in wedding proceedings. From walking the bride down the aisle to giving a speech, dads are often photographed performing their role. I therefore love to get these natural and relaxed, photographs of them in the final moments before the formalities begin.

The ceremony began with the entrance of the page boy and bridesmaids. The couple could not take their eyes off each other throughout the ceremony, only looking away when they had to. Following the signing of the register, the bride and groom were introduced as the new Mr & Mrs and they walked down the aisle together to a chorus of applause.

Adele is a leader at Red Bank Girl Guides and unknown to her, myself and the Group Leader of Red Bank (Jackie), had been talking before the wedding. Jackie had planned a surprise for the bride and groom.  Several of the Girl Guides from Red Bank were to form a guard of honour for their exit from church. Knowing this I was able to ensure I captured the expression on Adele’s face as she exited the church. Following a few photos in the grounds of the church everyone then made their way to Farington Lodge.

Farington Lodge

Everyone arrived at Farington Lodge to a belini drinks reception and group photographs followed. The staff at Farington Lodge are awesome and allowed me access to one of the rooms. This meant I could get a whole group shot followed by a couple of large family group photographs. Following the group photographs, myself and the bride and groom had a wander around the grounds to capture some more formal portrait shots.

With the happy couple shots in the bag, it was time for the wedding breakfast and speeches. The speeches were heartfelt, sincere and extremely emotional. Even the Best man was choked up while delivering his speech. Following the meal, the drinks were flowing and it was dark enough for sparklers. The wedding party, and just a few  guests, gathered outside to have some sparkler fun. Although cold outside, the glow from the sparkles was both warming and romantic.

What a Party!

The new Mr & Mrs took to centre stage as the evening rolled into night. First Adele performed the bouquet toss, this was followed by the couple cutting their awesome wedding cake. Finally it was time for them both to perform their first dance. Other couples joined the pair on the floor as the first dance ended. Shortly after, the lights went down and tunes turned up. The dance floor was packed and had a real nightclub feel.  As the guests threw some shapes I found my own feet tapping. So I did what any good wedding photographer should do and got in on the fun, up close, snapping away to capture that real party atmosphere.

Adele and David’s wedding day was the perfect wedding day. The love these two share, and the connection between them, is clear for everyone to see. I had the best day photographing their memories and watching them celebrate. I wish them both all the happiness in the world and long future together. Congrats again and thank you for choosing me as your wedding photographer.
