What I love about being a Lancashire Wedding Photographer is the huge amount of amazing wedding venues that are all so different!. Heskin Hall is one such venue. A beautiful hall, just a short hop from Chorley. The hall itself is full of character both inside and out. The grounds around the venue are perfect for photos, and if the weather is bad there are plenty of locations inside to use for portraits. Outside, there are old brick walls, painted doors, woodland and the beautiful Hall itself to use as a backdrop. It really is a marvellous venue for a wedding. So when Sarah and Anthony told me they were getting married here and asked me to be their wedding photographer, I was overjoyed.

Sarah and Anthony’s wedding was a late afternoon ceremony and we were really lucky with the weather, after a rather wet start it brightened up and the sun shone. The guys and the guests all arrived shortly before the ceremony began. Time enough for a few photos and drink in the bar before being seated for the ceremony.  Covid restrictions were still in place at the time of this wedding so guest numbers were limited to 30. However, the restrictions didn’t impact on this lovely couples day.

The ceremony was just as beautiful and romantic as any unrestricted wedding ceremony and the couple were so happy and in love, it was hard for anyone to not be emotional. Following the ceremony we had time for some photos in the grounds of the venue. Meanwhile the guests enjoyed a drink in the bar and in the outdoor areas around the hall, until it was time for them to be seated for the wedding breakfast.

It was a true honour to share Sarah and Anthony’s special day and to capture their memories for them. I wish them all the best for their future.
