Leyland Hotel Wedding Photography - Vicky & Pete

Vicky and Pete booked me to photograph their wedding with little over a month to go till their wedding. They were originally going to have a friend photograph the big day but decided they would rather their friend enjoy the day, not worry about about the stress of taking the photographs and so they booked me. Incidentally, if you are thinking of having a friend photograph your wedding, check out my blog post on choosing a photographer as it lists a few things you might want to consider when asking a friend Click Here to read more.

They told me that their wedding would be a small and intermediate wedding and Vicky didn’t want to have any of the bridal preparation photographs taken. The day of the wedding the weather was mixed and there was a threat of rain. Vicky and Pete really wanted an outdoor wedding in the courtyard of the hotel but the threat of rain was looking to be an issue. The registrars and the staff at the hotel were fantastic, they delayed moving the event inside until the very last minute. Luckily the rain held off and the couple were able to have their outside wedding.

The bride was walked down the aisle and given away by her sister. The two of them looked beautiful and Vicky was positively beaming. The ceremony took place under the pagoda in the hotel courtyard and was a lovely intimate ceremony, just like the couple wanted. Following the ceremony the weather continued to hold off so we were able to take some group photos and some photographs of the happy couple around the hotel grounds. The couple then enjoyed some time with their guests before sitting down to their wedding breakfast.

I wish Vicky and Pete all the best for a long and happy future together. It was such an honour to be able to share their special day and record their forever memories for them.
