An Engagement Shoot in Chorley
A lot of the engagement sessions I photograph, take place in Astley Park, Chorley or in Worden Park, Leyland as there is such a wealth of opportunity there for some great photographs. However, I do also enjoy going somewhere different, especially when it is somewhere new that I’ve not been before. So when I asked Lucia and Liam where they would like to have their engagement photoshoot, and they replied round the corner from them, I was both excited and curious to see where they would take me.
The couple live in Clayton-le-Woods and took me to a lovely green area that backs onto Leyland Golf Club. When I was at college, I had a friend who lived on the same estate and I had some very vague memories of possibly having walked a small part of the area. But we are talking over 20 years ago (eek!) and I certainly didn’t know my way around.
It was a lovely sunny, summers day and Lucia and Liam had brought their absolutely gorgeous Jack Russel, Bella along with them for the walk. I love dogs and Bella is such a beautiful dog, I was more than happy to include her in the shoot. She was such a poser and gave me some great expressions, I even think on one of them she was teasing me sticking her tongue out at me!
We walked around enjoying the sunshine, talking about the approaching wedding day, discussing timings for the big day as well as possible group shots and how the day was planned to run. In between our chats we’d stop at various spots while Lucia, Liam and Bella would hold a pose or I would ask them to just be themselves and ignore me (Bella was quite good at that bit, hiding in the long grass). We had a wonderful walk and chat and I think even little Bella enjoyed herself, we got some fabulous photos too!
Here are my pick of pics…..
