Devonshire House Wedding Photography - Joanne & Neal
Devonshire House Wedding Photography | Devonshire House Wedding Photos
I have photographed many weddings at Devonshire House as a Wedding Photographer. However, this wedding was a very different one. At the time of this wedding, ceremonies were only permitted to have 15 guests and the rules were strict. Joanne and Neal, however, did not not let COVID-19 spoil their special day.
The bride and groom had their pre-ceremony “chats” outside in the garden, with the registrar. Following the chats, everyone was ushered into the ceremony room. Seating had been set at specific locations, so that everyone could keep a safe 2m distance.
The bride entered the room on the arm of her father, looking excited and happy. The ceremony began, with a few differences to the usual running. Music, was not allowed. Neither were readings or speeches. Only the registrars were permitted to give short speeches. Following the ceremony, the couple signed the register. But for photographs, we were not allowed to use a book, yet another COVID-Safe rule!
Following the ceremony, we retreated to the gardens for some formal photographs, confetti and champagne. It was such a wonderful wedding.
Whether you have 100 guests or 4, every wedding is special, emotional and the start of a new Chapter in your life. We all hope weddings will return to normal soon. Should you choose to marry during these times of restrictions, you can still have an amazing wedding day, just like this gorgeous couple did.
