Engagement Photoshoot on a Strawberry Farm
When Holly and Peter booked in for their engagement photography session I wasn’t quite sure what to expect when they asked if we could take the photos on Peter’s Strawberry Farm. Holly and Peter are such a lovely down to earth couple and they wanted some photos that truly reflected them as a couple. I arrived at the farm and instantly I was so excited at all the photographic opportunities I could see before me. Holly and Peter showed me around and every few paces I would ask them to stop so I could take a few photos, there were so many fantastic locations around the farm.
While walking around we chatted about their upcoming wedding and all their plans for the big day. Peter also told me how he proposed to Holly. He told me that it was in one of the green houses and he placed the ring on one of the Strawberry Stems before asking her. I asked him if he could recreate the event and so he did, it was a lovely precious moment and was the perfect opportunity to get a few photos of them among the Strawberries.
Of course no trip to a farm would be complete without a tractor featuring in some way! Holly told me that Peter loves driving the tractor around his farm and when I suggested using it as a prop I swear his eyes lit up with excitement. It happened to be an added bonus that it was a big red tractor too adding some fantastic bold colour into the photographs that also happened to match the Strawberry Theme.
At the end of our time together Peter and Holly gave me a punnet of freshly picked Strawberries to take home. The Strawberries were huge, so juicy and sweet I thoroughly enjoyed them. Peter told me that the farm supplies Strawberries to Morrissons under the brand P Baybutt so guess where I now buy my Strawberries from?……
Holly and Peter were later married at Shaw Hill Golf Club in Chorley and a blog of their big day will be posted in the near future. Following is a selection of my favourite pics from their engagement photoshoot on the Strawberry Farm.
